The Tesla Cybertruck’s odd design in large part aimed at making it an efficient full-size pickup.

The 593 hp All-Wheel Drive model has and EPA combined fuel efficiency rating that is equivalent to 79 mpg.

It’s also good enough to get 325 miles of driving out of a full charge of its 123 kWh battery pack, enabled in part by its relatively low aerodynamic drag. The more powerful Cyberbeast does not have an official mpg rating, but Tesla estimates that it has 320 miles of range.

The all-wheel drive model’s efficiency is tops in its segment, but by how much? Here’s a look at the top models it competes against.

FORD F-150 LIGHTNING: 72 MPG

The F-150 Lightning is offered in a variety of models, but the most efficient configuration has a 580 hp all-wheel-drive system and extended range battery pack that’s rated at 72 mpg and 300 miles of range. F-150 Lightning production was recently suspended due to an aluminum shortage, but the model has not been officially canceled.

The GMC Hummer EV pickup eats electrons like the old Hummers guzzled gas. You can chalk that up to its brick-like shape, giant all-terrain tires and 4.5-ton weight. The 570 hp dual-motor 2X trim is the best of the bunch with a 53 mpg rating and a 318-mile range.

The Rivian R1T is a size smaller than the rest of the electric pickups and it pays off in efficiency. Even though it weighs about the same as the Cybertruck, the R1T Dual with Max battery pack’s lower drag and smaller frontal area help it get an impressive 87 mpg rating and 420-miles of range from a 141.5 kWh capacity pack.
