The Dodge Charger is heading back to NASCAR, but don’t go looking for it at Daytona or Talladega just yet.
NASCAR has officially approved the new Five Star Bodies Dodge Charger nose for Late Model Stock competition.
The part that was revealed last fall are designed to Approved Body Configuration (ABC) rules, which govern a spec body that can accommodate brand-specific front ends. Ford, Chevy and Toyota area already represented.
The new entry features light and grille shapes designed after the production car’s and decals to dress them up. A rear bumper cover is also available.

While they can be used in a variety of Late Model series, the new approval opens them up to NASCAR-sanctioned series like the NASCAR Local Racing Series Powered by O’Reilly Auto Parts.

“Any time a new body configuration moves through multiple levels of approval, it’s critical that the data supports fairness and parity,” Corey Schultz, Co-CEO of Five Star Bodies said in a news release. “This NASCAR approval confirms the work our engineering team put into the Dodge Charger Nose and gives teams confidence that they’re getting a legal, competitive product.” The front ends lis for $164, the rear ends for $155 and parts are already in stock and ready to ship.

The Late Model body is Dodge’s latest step toward a likely return to the NASCAR Cup Series, following its sister brand Ram’s entry in the Truck Series this year. Tim Kuniskis, the head of all of the American Stellantis brands, recently confirmed he is still trying to get a program together for 2027, but acknowledged that it might take longer than that.
“I told everybody our goal would be to get into Cup, Daytona next year, and so far, every single person has told me that’s absolutely impossible and I’m crazy and it’s never going to happen. I don’t know. I’m not giving up yet,” Kuniskis said.
