Kevin Harvick And Jeff Burton Voted Into NASCAR Hall Of Fame

Kevin Harvick

Kevin Harvick is going to be happy today.

The 2014 NASCAR Cup Series Champion and 60-race-winner has been voted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame alongside Jeff Burton on the Modern Era ballot.

Harvick’s win comes in his first year of eligibility, while this was Burton’s sixth time in front of the voting panel.

Harvick retired from full-time driving in 2023 and is 11th on the all-times win list, having been bumped out of the top 10 by Denny Hamlin this season.

Burton won 21 Cup Series races and 27 O’Reilly Auto Parts Series races in a career that spanned a quarter-century and has remained involved in the sport as one of its top broadcasters.

Larry Phillips, who passed away in 2004 at 62, was elected on the Pioneer ballot as the first to win five NASCAR Weekly Series championships, which came during a stretch from 1988 to 1996 when he won 220 of 289 starts.

Voters also picked NASCAR Executive Vice Chair Lesa France Kennedy for the Landmark Award for the Outstanding Contributions to NASCAR.

All will be inducted during a ceremony in Charlotte, N.C., on Jan. 22, 2027.
