Denny Hamlin Three-peats With Win From Pole At Pocono

Denny Hamlin won his third-consecutive race of 2026 from pole position Sunday at Pocono Raceway to complete the first three-peat of his career. It was his eighth career win at the Tricky Triangle, where he won his first Cup Series race, and 64th overall.

Hamlin spent the closing laps chasing down his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate, Christopher Bell, who was on a different pit stop schedule and trying to stretch his fuel to the end, but ended up having to give up the spot to Hamlin with five laps to go before he coasted into the pits for a quick splash to salvage a 26th place finish.

Points leader Tyler Reddick made his way through the field into second, but came up 1.678 secs short of Hamlin when the checkered flag flew, with William Byron not far behind.

“Just so special here,” Hamlin said. “This is a team effort, they’re giving me the fast cars, the pit crew is flawless right now, we’ve just got it all going.”

The win moved Hamlin to just 19 points behind Reddick in the standings. Reddick opened the season with a three-peat of his own and has five wins to Hamlin’s four.
