Defending O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Champion Jesse Love has been confirmed as the new driver of the Wood Brothers Racing No. 21 Ford for 2027.
Wood Brothers Racing is the oldest active NASCAR Cup Series team and operates a single car effort through a technical partnership with Team Penske. Love drives a Chevrolet for Richard Childress Racing in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series and is second in the standings this season.
“Words can’t describe what it means to me to realize this dream I’ve had for as long as I can remember,” Love posted to social media. “I am so grateful to every single person who has had a hand in my journey from the time I was 5 years old to now. This is for those people who have pushed me and helped me. Thank you to the Wood Brothers, Team Penske, and Ford for their belief in me starting in 2027.”
Current Wold Brothers Racing driver Josh Berry announced last week that he would be leaving the team at the end of this season. Berry scored the team’s 101st all-time victory at Las Vegas last year.

In addition to his O’Reilly Auto Parts Series title, Love, now 21, also won the 2020 and 2021 ARCA Menards Series West and 2023 ARCA Menards series championships.
“Jesse has accomplished a lot at a young age,” Wood Brothers Racing Jon Wood said in a release. “He’s demonstrated the ability to win races, compete for championships and handle the expectations that come with racing at a high level. We’re looking forward to giving him the opportunity to take the next step in his career with the No. 21 team.”
