The Ram 1500 Direct Connection by Roush has a mouthful of a name, but is full of upgrades to go with it.

The new collaboration is a 1500 Big Horn Crew Cab 4×4 that’s been packed with Roush Performance equipment.

The 5.7-liter eTorque V8 doesn’t get any, but the truck gets a Roush cat-back active valve exhaust system with quiet and loud modes. The big mechanical changes include a Roush suspension with a two-inch lift and twin-tube dampers, 18-inch Roush-designed wheels wrapped in 33-inch A/T tires and skid plates.

The body is modified with a Roush hood equipped with heat extractors, a high-flow grille, painted front bumper, Mopar off-road running boards and plenty of Roush and Direct Connection graphics. The interior is wrapped in quilted Mopar leather upholstery and dressed up with more graphics and badges.

Ram dealer lots are getting absolutely packed with new performance pickups this year. The Roush partnership follows the launch of lifted and lowered trucks built by Fox Factory while Ram’s own 777 hp TRX is on the way to dealers now with a lineup of 1500 muscle trucks not far behind.
