The Florida Highway Patrol hit the gas over the weekend to win the American Association of State Troopers Best Looking Cruiser contest.

The Michigan State Police held a slim lead on Friday, July 10 with 28,639 followed by Florida at 27,606 and Georgia at 27,522, but The Sunshine State worked some kind of magic to crush both of them by the time the polls closed at Noon on Monday, July 13.

Florida ended up with 52,249 while Michigan had to settle for 37,654 and Georgia 34,933. It was Florida’s fourth straight win in the annual survey.

“From hanging chads and late-night ballot dumps (all in good fun, of course!) to the support of law enforcement partners, elected officials, and countless loyal supporters of the mighty black-and-tan, the Florida Highway Patrol charged to an incredible fourth consecutive championship,” the association wrote in announcing the winner.
