Alex Palou started the IndyCar OnlyBulls Grand Prix of Portland in second, but led 60 of 110 laps to make his sixth win of the season look easy as he chases is fourth-straight championship and fifth in sixth years.
The Chip Ganassi Racing driver managed the race perfectly and was unchallenged at the checkered flag, four seconds ahead of runner-up Felix Rosenqvist.
“Chip puts the best guys around me, but then also everybody is just executing. That car is a rocket ship, and I’m just lucky enough to drive it,” Palou said.

Palou holds a comfortable 110 point lead over Kyle Kirkwood after 13 of 18 races, as the series heads to Canada for the series’ inaugural race on the streets of Markham, outside Toronto.
If he can hold on and win the title, he would become just the second American open wheel racer to win four in a row, joining 2004-2007 CART champion Sebastian Bourdais in the exclusive club.
