The money keeps sliding off of the Cybertruck’s steeply angled hood.
Tesla has increased the price of the entry-level Cybertruck’s Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive and Premium All-Wheel Drive models by $5,000 each.
The Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive now starts at $77,235 and the Premium All-Wheel Drive at $87,325. The top of the line Cyberbeast price remains $102,235.
The Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive was launched in February at an introductory $62,235 price, but that jumped to $72,235 in March.
According to Kelley Blue Book, Tesla delivered just 10,712 Cybertrucks in the U.S. through the first half of 2026.
However, the automaker currently lists the delivery date on new Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive Cybertruck orders as 2027, suggesting it is either in strong demand or that the company has significantly slowed production.
Tesla is in the process of ramping up the assembly of its new Cybercab at the same Austin factory that builds the Cybertruck, and will formally reveal the final production version of the two-seat autonomous vehicle on Sept. 3.

During Tesla’s Q4 2025 earnings call, Musk suggested that the Cybertruck would eventually follow the Cybercab into the fully autonomous segment as a delivery vehicle.
“We will transition the Cybertruck line to just a fully autonomous line,” Musk said. “There’s obviously a market there for cargo delivery, like you say, localized cargo delivery within a city, within a few hundred miles, something like that. There’s a lot of cargo that needs to move locally within a city, and an autonomous Cybertruck could be very useful for that.”
Tesla has not yet made any public moves in that direction, and Musk didn’t clarify if that would require redesigning the vehicle’s body, which is currently set up with seating for five and a bed with an angled cover that isn’t optimized for cargo carrying like a van.
