NASCAR’s Homestead-Miami Playoffs Race Renamed To Honor Retiring Kevin Harvick
Homestead-Miami is all about Happy this year.
The South Florida track has announced that this year’s NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs race on October 22 will be named the 4EVER 400 presented by Mobil 1 as a salute to Kevin Harvick, who is retiring as a full-time driver at the end of this season.
4EVER is a reference to Harvick’s car number and the slogan that’s been used to commemorate his final season.
“That is definitely top of the list for the surprises of the year,” Harvick said as he revealed the race logo in a video posted across social media.
Harvick only has one win on the 1.5-mile oval, but it was a big one, as it claimed the 2014 NASCAR Cup Series Championship in the first year of the knockout playoffs format. He has also finished in the top 10 at the track 19 times since 2001.

Harvick qualified for the playoffs this year, but failed to advance past the first round and is still looking for a so-far elusive win.
