The latest Ford F-150 is getting an old-school look. Ford is launching a new limited edition throwback Two-Tone Package for the 2027 F-150 through the Ford Custom Garage factory upfit program.
It’s a real paint strip, rather than a vinyl wrap, that is available in Oxford White, Carbonized Gray or Agate Black and can be paired with 10 different F-150 base colors, but only on the XLT and Lariat SuperCrew with 5.5-foot box and 145-inch wheelbase. The strip follows the contour of the front door window dip and has cutouts for the F-150 tailgate logo.
“In the ’70s and ’80s, you could spot a two-tone F-150 from a mile away. Now, Ford Custom Garage is restoring the legend. Combining retro heritage with advanced factory precision, the F-150 Custom Two-Tone Package truck brings back an iconic look exactly as it was meant to be seen: sharp, seamless, and unmistakably Ford,” is how the company describes it.
The last time Ford did anything like a two-tone F-150 was when it launched the Heritage Edition in 2023 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the F-Series, but that was a more modern look with a black roof and lower trim, rather than a distinctive strip.
Ford dealers have been offering custom two-tone F-150s on their own for years, but this is a factory ship-through package that must be ordered with the truck and comes with a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty. The paint is applied by a Ford partner before the truck is delivered to the dealership.
The price is $12,545, which is a relatively good deal, considering the Ford Mustang Dark Horse SC’s painted hood and trunk option is $10,000.
The Ford Custom Garage has a growing library of F-150 packages that includes several regional themes – California, Great Lakes, etc. – FP700S Black, FP700S Bronze and Dark Trail.
