NASCAR Clash Moved To Monday As Snowstorm Slams Winston-Salem

Bowman Gray Stadium in the snow

The NASCAR Clash is on the move … to Monday.

NASCAR is postponing the season-opening exhibition event due to a winter storm that’s moving through Winston-Salem and covering the Bowman Gray Stadium quarter-mile track with snow.

NASCAR had already cancelled all Saturday events in anticipation of the precipitation, but will need an extra day to get the facility ready as the city digs out.

Practice and qualifying heats are now scheduled for 11 a.m. ET and will be broadcast on FS2. The Last Chance Qualifier is set for 4:30 p.m. ET and will air on Fox network and HBO Max, while the Clash main event follows at 6 p.m. also on Fox.

Four to eight inches of snow are predicted to fall before the storm moves out of the area on Saturday night and temperatures are expected to stay below 20 degrees up until the start of qualifying.

Ticket holders who cannot attend can get a full refund or a 120% credit toward a future event at any NASCAR-owned or operated track.
