The first Ford Bronco Filson is more than a mash-up between the automaker and outdoor gear company that makes it more of a competitor to upscale rugged SUVs like the Toyota Land Cruiser, Lexus GX, Jeep Wrangler Rubicon X and Land Rover Defender.
The four-door mixes the Bronco Raptor’s 3.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with the Bronco’s Sasquatch package to create a formidable off-roader that’s graduated from finishing school.
The removable hard top model is the most refined Bronco yet, thanks to improved sealing, acoustic class and other tweaks that reduce “perceived” wind noise, according to Ford.
It’s also the first Bronco with power-adjustable ventilated and heated front seats, which are upholstered in durable quilted leather and fabric that are inspired by Filson’s clothing and goods.
The interior features olive green and brass-colored trim and comes with saddlebags that strap into the rear triangle of the roll cage along with Filson bag-style storage in the doors and front seat backs. The rear seats are heated and the model is the first Bronco that comes with a digital rearview mirror.
The Bronco Filson has a unique grille, painted wheel arches and mirror caps, trail sight tie-down points on the front fenders with a strip of body color and power side steps, which are the first on a Bronco. The Bronco Filson logo can found on the fenders, center console and hardshell spare tire cover.
Ford hasn’t released full specifications for the model, but the engine gets special tuning so it may not share the Bronco Raptor’s 418 hp and 440 lb-ft ratings. The Bronco Filson’s Sasquatch package includes front and rear locking differentials, 35-inch rugged terrain tires and high performance Fox 2.5 shock absorbers.
The Bronco Filson will be offered with a special Launch Edition package with a deep orange Iron Sands Copper Metallic paint. Field Green Metallic paint will be an exclusive color for the Bronco Filson, which will also be available in Marsh Gray, Avalanche Gray, Desert Sand, Shadow Black and Oxford White.
Pricing hasn’t been announced, but the order book will open in the fall with deliveries to follow in early 2027. Ford said it will be a permanent addition to the Bronco lineup, not a limited edition trim, and Filson is launching a line of clothing and accessories to go with it as part of the collaboration.
