Dodge will debut the “the most powerful Sixpack-powered Charger yet” on August 7 and there’s a lot of buzz around the car.
Dodge has posted a video on social media promoting the unveiling that appears to tease what the model will be called.
The video features an animation of a swarm of bees at a drag strip, which suggests it will mark the return of the Super Bee name to the Charger lineup.
The last three Charger Super Bees introduced in 2007, 2012 and 2023 all had uniquely tuned suspensions, upgraded brakes, mild aerodynamic bodywork updates and V8 engines.
The most powerful Charger on sale right now is the Scat Pack, which has a 550 hp Sixpack turbocharged straight-six, while the R/T’s version of the engine is rated at 420 hp. Mopar is working on a crate motor Sixpack with more than 1,000 hp, so there’s no telling how far they will push the Super Bee’s.
However, Dodge has what is expected to be an even higher performance Charger SRT in the works that was revealed during a recent closed door event. The model features a large hoop-style rear wing inspired by the 1969 Charger Daytona’s and an aggressive chin splitter.
Dodge didn’t say what kind of engine it has, but the hood design looked a lot like the SRT hoods featured on its previous V8-powered cars and SUVs. According to the Detroit Free Press, it will be powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat V8 and Dodge hasn’t publicly denied the report.

Given the styling and the fact that the two-door and four-door cars shown in the renderings that were on display didn’t have any Super Bee logos or graphics on them, it’s unlikely that they are one in the same car, so get ready to be on the lookout for its reveal after the wraps come off the Super Bee, which will be on public display at the Roadkill Nights event in Detroit on Aug. 8.
