Even little guys can dream big. Slate has teamed up with Monster Jam on a line of accessories for its electric pickup.
The Slate’s lineup of factory wraps now includes a black, gray and yellow Monster Jam motif and another with the purple and green scheme of the famous Grave Digger monster truck.
The wraps list for $999.99 and $1,259.99, respectively, and Slate is also offering a door decal kit with the Monster Jam and Grave Digger logos for $39.99.
The collection also includes key chains and Monster Jam “slatelets,” which are plastic badges that clip onto the dashboard and are similar to Jibbitz for Crocs. The team-up of a tiny electric truck company with Monster Jam may seem incongruous, but Slate has a hook.
“Monster Jam started with truck-loving gearheads modifying their rides in ways no one thought possible. We build trucks that anyone can personalize to make their own. Together, we’re giving Monster Jam fans a new way to take their fandom out of the arena and onto the road,” Slate said. Slate has also announced collaborations with Crayola and artist Max Kolo ahead of the truck’s launch later this year.
Preorders for the two-door pickup are available now, but an exact start date for deliveries hasn’t been confirmed. The Slate has a $26,400 starting price (including destination fees) and a range of 205 miles per charge and will be built at a new factory in Warsaw, Indiana. Its rear-wheel-drive powertrain is rated at 181 hp and 195 lb-ft and the truck can tow up to 2,000 pounds. A $5,000 conversion kit that turns it into a five-seat SUV is also available.

Slate is using a direct sales model and will provide service through a network of authorized technicians that can be found through RepairPal, but the vehicle was designed with home maintenance in mind.
