Jeep is introducing the 2027 Wrangler JL-2A, the 11th model in its yearlong Twelve 4 Twelve series. The special edition honors the 1945 Willys CJ-2A, the first Jeep designed for civilian use.
The original CJ-2A adapted the military Willys MB for farms, ranches and industry. It added a tailgate, rear power takeoff, larger headlights and the seven-slot grille that remains a Jeep signature. Bold colors such as Harvest Tan with Sunset Red wheels defined the postwar workhorse.
The 2027 JL-2A is built on the Wrangler Rubicon platform and carries those cues forward. Exterior colors include Gobi on the two-door, inspired by Harvest Tan, and ’41 on the four-door. Bright White, Sting Gray, Ghost and Joose are also available.

Exclusive 17-inch retro wheels painted Joose recall the original Sunset Red rims and come with 33-inch BFGoodrich KO2 All-Terrain tires. Body-color fender flares, a three-piece hardtop, orange tow hooks and Dark Metallic Grey grille accents complete the look.

The interior uses a Wrangler-first combination of Nappa Heritage Tan leather on the seats and instrument-panel mid-bolster with Bison Brown door panels, lower dash and center console. Desert Orange accent stitching runs throughout the cabin. Exclusive details include a Willys-Overland satin chrome shifter medallion, heritage-inspired HVAC vent graphics and a rear swing-gate plaque that recreates original CJ-2A dashboard data-plate artwork.
