The V8-Powered Jeep Scrambler SRT Has An Independent Front Suspension And Seats In The Bed

The Jeep Scrambler SRT Concept

The wild Scrambler Concept revealed at the SEMA Show is a thinly veiled sneak peek at a future Jeep.

The Wrangler-based two-door truck is designed for Ford Bronco Raptor-rivaling high-speed off-roading and is equipped with an independent front suspension, which has never been offered on a production Wrangler platform model before.

It’s a super-long-travel setup with 14 inches of travel up front, 15 inches for its solid rear axle and 2.5-inch remote-reservoir Fox Racing shocks to keep it in check. Its 37-inch tires are wrapped around 17-inch wheels with heavy duty six-lug designs.

The exterior styling features a throwback shark nose grille, stretched doors, a basket-handle roof bar and a six-foot bed with removable seats that can be faced toward the front or the rear.

In May, Jeep confirmed that a Wrangler Scrambler is coming to showrooms soon, and the concept features a stock Wrangler dashboard, but it does not have a roof. Jeep has not said when a production version will be revealed or released.

It’s also yet to be seen if the removable rear seats will make it to the factory model, but there is another vehicle with something similar going on sale soon.

The two-door Slate electric pickup is being offered with removable rear seats, but they are sold as an accessory, not a stock feature, and can’t be faced to the rear.
